The roots of VHF Tech date back to the late 1990s in Haiti, born from a young child's fascination with opening, repairing, and soldering old devices. By age 12, raw curiosity led to early, daring electrical experiments. After graduating in electronics in 2001, our founder became a passionate professor in the capital. However, severe socio-political crises disrupted the school, leaving eager students stranded. Refusing to let their education stop, he invited them into his home for practical training.
The pivotal spark came on a dark night on June 21, 2003. Waiting until midnight for unstable city power just to charge batteries using a loud, self-made transformer, the grid flashed on—and vanished minutes later. In total darkness, a voice resonated: "Why not do what you know for yourself?" Right then, with a blank notebook and less than 80 Haitian dollars—earned by selling an unrepairable TV left by a client—a blueprint was drawn. He relocated to the province and founded VHF Professional School (VHFPS), a name inspired by his pure excitement for learning VHF/UHF technology. This venture grew dynamically into a college, a radio station, and an enduring brand. Today, in the USA, that exact same technical resilience, interdisciplinary expertise, and leadership drive VHF Tech Services.
